Did you pick the right resort at one of these top beaches? In spite of all the talk about beach erosion, the Mexican Caribbean still offers some of the most spectacular beaches in the world. They are the reason many tourists keep coming back year after year. They are also crucial to thousands of sea-turtles who come here every year to lay their eggs.
All beaches are public, so even when you're not at a hotel on the spot, you'll find public access roads along the Riviera Maya.

Playa Maroma is celebrated as one of the top beaches of the world. Who know's who you might bump into... The entrance to Playa Maroma is at Marina Punta Maroma. The marina charges a fee (100 pesos p.p. at the time of this writing). For that you can use the beach beds and toilets. Hotels at Playa MaromaCatalonia Playa MaromaEl Dorado Maroma | ||

Not so well groomed as Akumal, but definitely my favorite. There's a bar/restaurant where you can rent a locker and a small camp-site nearby. Hotels at Playa Xpu HaBarcelo Maya Beach Resort
